direct wholesale container shipments | personalized customer service | excellent price points

oustanding price points

Although Circa Imports is based in the foothills of the Himalayas of western China, we are an foreign owned and foreign managed company. We do keep a small office stateside to help with logistics and customer service, but all of our warehousing and shipping is done from outside of the US. This helps us keep our overhead and prices as low as possible. In fact, our prices are typically 50% lower than similar pieces that are offered by other, US based, wholesale companies.

wholesale direct container shipments

Circa Imports is an American company based on the edge of historic Tibet in western China. We wholesale directly from our warehouses in China (click here to see photos of our various workshops and warehouses) to the trade only.

All of our current inventory is available for browsing online, but our website is restricted to qualified wholesale customers. For this reason, when first visiting our site, we ask that you register and provide us some basic information about your company.

We take high quality, studio photos of each piece in our inventory. Through our web site customers can custom order an entire container of items--the pieces that you choose are the actual pieces that go on your container.

minimum orders

Our pricing is based on container shipments--the minimum order is a 20 foot container (about the size of a large u-haul box truck). We take care of all of the logistics to get the container to your door, but the actual packing, shipping, and customs fees are not included in the price per piece quoted on the website. These fees typically add between 10-20% to the total cost of the container (depending on the container size ordered, the destination of the shipment, and the total value of the items ordered).

approximate container costs

The total cost can vary greatly depending upon the price of the pieces chosen, the number of accessories ordered, and the final destination of the shipment.

Here’s the breakdown of costs for a 20 foot container:

  • Typically holds between 100-200 pieces (shipping volume 30 cubic meters)
  • Total cost of product is usually between $12,000 and $18,000
  • Packing costs are $1450
  • Shipping costs can vary from $1600 (US West Coast) to $3500 (US East Coast)
  • Customs charges typically run between $200 and $300

Here’s the breakdown of costs for a 40 foot container:

  • Typically holds between 200-400 pieces (shipping volume 60 cubic meters)
  • Total cost of product is usually between $24,000 and $36,000
  • Packing costs are $1950
  • Shipping costs can vary from $1800 (US West Coast) to $5500 (US East Coast)
  • Customs charges typically run between $200 and $300

payment terms

Orders can be placed at any time, but until a down payment is received those pieces are not reserved and may be ordered by other customers. After the entire down payment is received ($9000 for a 20 foot container and $15,000 for a 40 foot or 40 foot high cube container) shipping can be arranged according to the customer’s schedule. The remaining amount due must be paid at least 10 days before the container is scheduled to arrive at the destination port.

incremental down payment program

Circa Imports also offers a program that allows customers to send the initial down payment in $5000 increments. Pieces can be reserved up to the value of the down payment. After the full down payment is received ($9000 to $15,000) the container can be shipped. The balance is due 10 days prior to the scheduled arrival of the container at the destination port.
